Geek Girl Camp is a a learn-by-doing social networking workshop presented by the Martha’s Vineyard Women’s Network on Thursday, Nov. 5 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Leslie Fishlock and Julie Roads of Writing Roads will direct this so-called “social media scavenger hunt,” guiding participants through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Linkedin and all the technology involved. It will be an “un-seminar,” with actual interactivity — not a lecture. The audience is divided into small teams with one laptop per table. After an introduction to the online tools, each team will receive a list of questions that can be answered only via social networking sites.

The event will be at Espresso Love in Edgartown, so food and drinks will be available for sale.

The cost is $25 for Martha’s Vineyard Women’s Network members, or $35 for nonmembers. Space is limited, so please preregister. Pay online and register atmvwomensnetwork.org or drop a check off at Ameriprise Financial in Edgartown or Kiddo’s in Vineyard Haven by Nov. 2.
