A workshop in collecting oral histories will be held tomorrow, Saturday, March 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum, 59 School street in Edgartown, with a follow-up meeting on Saturday, March 20, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Explore methods for conducting oral history interviews to learn more about your family, your community and the Island around us. The museum’s oral historian, Linsey Lee, will work with participants on interview techniques, care of collections and creative uses of oral history, using examples from the museum’s collection of interviews with over 400 Vineyarders.
The workshop is limited to 10 participants; preregistration is required at 508-627-4441. The cost is $20.
