Bank Awards Grants
The Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank Charitable Fund has this spring awarded grants totaling $9,500 to six Island nonprofits: Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, Friends of the Homeless, Martha’s Vineyard Cancer Support Group, Polly Hill Arboretum, Sail Martha’s Vineyard and the Yard.
This is the first of the fund’s four grant cycles for 2010. “We are starting the new year with a renewal of our longstanding commitment to helping make a difference in the quality of life on the Vineyard,” said bank president Chris Wells.
The fund is part of the Permanent Endowment Fund, the Island’s community foundation. More information about the Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank Charitable Fund and its community grant program is available online at mvbank.com.
