Cold Winter, Hot Hips
It’s cold outside but instead of turning up the thermostat go green by heating up on the dance floor with Island salsa as it begins a new round of classes.
On Wednesdays at 7 p.m. it’s the beginners level one class where dancers will learn solid lead and follow techniques along with salsa basics.
On Fridays at 7 p.m. there is the beginners level two series for people who have sound CBLs. Don’t know what a CBL is? Perhaps level one is for you then.
Also on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. is the Casino de Rueda, a monthly series focusing on a special type of dance. This class is open to all levels.
And on Fridays at 8 p.m. there is salsa intensive level two which emphasizes rhythm, individual styling and choreography.
All classes take place at Camp Jabberwocky located at 200 Greenwood avenue extension in Vineyard Haven.
The cost is $10 per class or unlimited class for the month of January for $120.
