Three Adult and Community Education (ACE MV) professional development opportunities begin Jan. 29. The three courses are either for college credit, or certification, or work towards certification: English Composition 102-49 taught by Peg Regan through Cape Cod Community College, EKG and CPR training towards a medical certificate taught by Nancy Phillips, M.S.N., A.P.R.N. through Health Training Center, ServSafe Food Sanitation Training taught by Alice Robinson.

The ENL 102-49 course is a continuation of ENL101, offered last fall. It is required of all Associate in Arts students and focuses on reading, analyzing and writing about literature and is designed to help students refine writing skills developed in ENL101.

The Basic EKG course includes rhythm interpretation, machine operation, and CPR. This course is eligible for nursing CEUs and recommended for those interested in pursuing national certification in a variety of health-related fields.

The ServSafe Food Sanitation Training certification and recertification course covers food handling practices for food service personnel and anyone responsible for enforcement of the food sanitation code. Class covers all information needed for the ServSafe certificate exam from the National Restaurant Association.
