Model Boat Show

Take advantage of the break in the rain forecast for Saturday by taking the boat over to Woods Hole to see other boats — a special show of model boats, radio-controlled model boat races, talks about boats, and the chance for children to sail a wooden model boat, too.

It’s the eighth biennial Model Boat Show hosted by the Woods Hole Historical Museum, open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities will be taking place throughout the waterfront villages — at the museum, the Woods Hole Library, MBL Club and community hall, all in walking distance of each other and the ferry. Speakers include a researcher from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.

Tickets are $12, or $5 for children over six, or $25 for a family. For details, see online woodsholemuseum.org.
