Writer’s Residency Reads
The West Tisbury Library is getting set to host its fall reading series showcasing writers from the Martha’s Vineyard Writer’s Residency. This program was established in 2007 with a simple mission: To give writers of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, memoir and plays a place in which to create or complete new works. Residencies are held April 1 to 30 and Sept. 15 to Oct. 31 of each year. Stays range from two to six weeks and each resident is given a private room with a bath in the historic Point Way Inn in Edgartown.
This year’s annual fall reading series begins on Tuesday, Sept. 20, and continues on subsequent Thursdays through October. All readings begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by a brief question and answer session. Refreshments will be served.
The series is free and open to the public.
