Adult and Community Education of Martha’s Vineyard (ACE MV) will have its second annual benefit celebrating Island diversity and culture on Nov. 19 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the regional high school.

The evening begins with children’s films from around the world programed by the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival and Cinema Circus. In the cafeteria local chefs and caterers from Deon’s, Sai Mai, Tropical, among others will host an international food court. During dinner there will be music with DJ Donald Rose, plus demonstrations of salsa, capoeira, belly dancing, Irish tunes, and folk dancing. There will also be many vendors selling native jewelry, Haitian art, Irish pottery/art, African crafts and books, Huichol art, Zapotec fortune telling, and more.

The evening culminates with a parade of artists and a concert featuring La Eskuelita Candombe, an Afro-Uruguayan rhythm group from Boston, the Black Brook Singers, Sabrina and Don Groover, Elizabeth Straton, Salsa with Saskia Vanderhoop and Company, and Irish Music with Gregg and Mary, to name just a few of the acts performing.

Tickets for $15 (children under 12 free) may be purchased at acemv.org. Groups or individuals may reserve a table for $150.
