January, a time of darkness and deep winter. Time to hibernate? Think again. It’s time to reenergize. At least that’s the feeling of the folks at the Martha’s Vineyard Women’s Network. But they also realize that energy is best harnessed in a group and led by a creative wonder.

On Tuesday, Jan. 10, the Women’s Network will host Margot Datz, a local artist and author of A Survival Guide for Landlocked Mermaids. Ms. Datz will present a program entitled Reenergizing in the New Year, based on a workshop she conducted this summer at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.

The program takes place at the Baylies Room of the Old Whaling Church. Registration is from 5:30 to 6 p.m. A light dinner will be served, and attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes.

The cost is $15 for members who preregister by Jan. 6. The cost for all walk-ins, including members, is $25.

To pay in advance, visit mvwomensnetwork.org or drop a check off at Ameriprise Financial in Edgartown by Jan. 6 at 4 p.m.
