Do you know what’s happening with your hive, what with the queen up to her stinger in drones, just droning about, when they should be doing something about colony collapse disorder (CCD).
Well, this Sunday, Jan. 22, from noon to 3 p.m. there is no longer any excuse for ignorance where your bees are concerned.
Everett Zurlinden is coming back to the Island to teach a midwinter workshop. Participants will learn how to check hives in the winter and make sugar cakes for supplemental/emergency feeding. The workshop will also include discussions on feeding protein in March.
The event takes place at the Island Cohousing, located at 17 Rock Pond Road in West Tisbury. The cost is $25.
