The 2012 season of Trinity Episcopal Church in Oak Bluffs begins this Sunday, June 17 at 9 a.m. with the Reverend Jack C. Burton as preacher and celebrant of the Holy Eucharist.

The Rev. Burton first came to the Vineyard in the summer of 1958 and moved to the Vineyard full time in 1972. He regularly takes the pulpit at St. Andrew’s Church in Edgartown.

In addition to Rev. Burton, the other celebrants this summer are: the Reverend William Heuss on June 24 and July 1; the Reverend Tina Rathbone on July 8 and 15; the Reverend Mark Bozutti-Jones on July 22 and 29; the Reverend Stephanie Spellers on August 5 and 12; Right Reverend John P. Streit, Dean of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston, on August 19 and 26; the Reverend Canon Edward Rodman, of the Episcopal Divinity School, on September 2 and 9; the Reverend Deborah Warner on Sept. 16 and 23.

The Right Reverend Gayle Harris, Bishop Suffragan of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, will visit on August 5.

Trinity services are at 9 a.m. during the summer season. The Rev. William B. Heuss is priest-in-charge. Wesley Brown is the organist.

Built in 1882, Trinity Church has an unusual series of stained glass windows pairing Christian symbols with Vineyard images.
