Editors. Vineyard Gazette:
I find the barrier beach legislation a craven waste of time that hijacks the legislation process for the interests of the one per cent against the one per cent. I am also curious to hear how this effort furthers Mr. Smizik’s mission to serve Brookline.
Real legislation would try to obtain rights for the public to gain egress through waterfront property owners’ land to get to the beach or Great Pond. Allowing some knucklehead to hijack the legislation process for rights that largely accrue to him is sad — but not surprising.
Further, a gentleman would recognize that we members of Quansoo provide him a valuable service when we open the cut and permit the cleansing of his pond; a thank you is in order.
