Miss Julia Mitchell Ravenscroft, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Kent Ravenscroft of Edgartown and Paris, France, and Jesse David Davis, son of Kathy Miller of Sonoma, Calif., and Jack Davis of Darien, Conn., were married on Saturday, Sept. 28 on Lighthouse Beach in Edgartown. The celebrant was Robert Low of Washington, D.C. A reception and dinner followed at the Edgartown Yacht Club.
The bride wore a gown of ivory double silk georgette with vintage lace appliqué. It was designed with three Savannah College of Art and Design alums, including the bride. She carried a bouquet of small pink and white roses and ranunculus.
Cameron Archer of Washington, D.C., was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Kristen Monacell and Cathleen Foley of Charlotte, N.C., Kimberly Davis of Darien, Conn., and Kristin Davis of Washington, D.C.
Nick Merluzzi of New York city was best man. The groomsmen were Josh Davis of Darien, Conn., Christopher Ravenscroft of Washington, D.C., and Kody Schumm of New York city.
The flower girl was Samantha Moir of Oakland, Calif., and the ring bearers were Harrison Moir of Oakland, Calif., and Ronan Ravenscroft of Washington, D.C. Julia and Jesse’s rescue dog, Chloe, was the flower dog.
Mrs. Davis, an alumna of Oldfields School in Baltimore, received a bachelor’s degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She is currently a sales associate at Theory in New York city.
Mr. Davis is a graduate of the Hyde School in Connecticut. He received his bachelor’s degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. He currently works as a visual coordinator at Marc Jacobs.
The newlyweds will make their home in New York city and plan to honeymoon somewhere warm this coming winter.
