Dear Carl: I am the woman you rescued two weeks ago Thursday on the uphill part of Main street in Vineyard Haven as a cyclonic wind knocked me down. You were driving your truck and caught sight of the whole scene. You were in a fit of traffic, had to park your car, but you were at my side pretty fast to help.

I know I didn’t thank you enough. My injuries were minor and I was scared but you were there helping me get my stuff together and seeing me home. You were wonderful. You made me feel safe!
