As the Gay Head Light slowly moves to its new location, the public will be invited to witness the progress on Saturday.

Public viewing will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow, when the lighthouse is expected to be on the new foundation. Viewing will be free and lighthouse merchandise will be for sale.

The town parking lot is closed to parking during the project. Parking is available at the top of the Aquinnah Circle, near the shops, and in residential spots near the public restrooms. Once those spots fill up, the town plans to open more of the Aquinnah Circle to parking.

On Friday, groups of students from Island schools will be visiting the lighthouse.
