The Girl Scout Troops of Martha’s Vineyard would like to take this opportunity to thank all the gracious Island businesses and individuals who helped support the girls in their cookie sales this year. As the Girl Scout website states, “buying Girl Scout cookies is about so much more than just handing over money for a box of treats. It’s about the skills a girl gains from interacting with customers. It’s about the experience of running her very own cookie business and working with others — learning important lifelong lessons along the way.” Cookie proceeds can go toward camping excursions and other troop field trips and activities, donations, and/or community outreach as voted on by troop members. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the following businesses and individuals who helped us this winter in our cookie sales: Alley’s General Store, Cash and Carry, Cronig’s Markets, Grace Episcopal Church, Greenwood House and Larry Gomez, Martha’s Vineyard Arena, Stop & Shop, Tisbury selectmen, Tisbury, Memorial Day picnic committee.
We hope you enjoyed your cookies!
