Vineyard-based beer company Bad Martha took home three medals at the 2015 Great International Beer and Cider Competition held Oct. 23 in Providence, R.I.

Bad Martha won a silver medal in the light ale, golden category for Bad Martha’s Summer Ale. The company also took home two bronze medals, one in the brown porter category for Roscoe’s Brown Ale and one in the Belgian/French saison category for Belgian Blonde.

There were 680 beers and ciders entered into 59 categories at the annual competition. It was the second year Bad Martha participated in the competition; last year the company took home three gold and two bronze medals.

The Bad Martha Farmer’s Brewery on Upper Main street in Edgartown has closed for the season, but will reopen from Dec. 10 to Dec. 13 from 2 to 9 p.m. for Christmas in Edgartown.
