This past weekend, the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School performing arts department presented this year’s musical Chicago to packed houses of community members, school personnel, family and friends. The directors, cast and crew would like to thank everyone who braved the cold temperatures to attend the performances.

We’d also like to express our appreciation to the talented musicians in the Chicago orchestra, the many Island folks who helped build sets, assisted our wonderful costumer and worked on hair and makeup.

One more group critical to the success of our endeavors is the amazing group of parents who supported the cast throughout the auditions, rehearsals and performances in ways too numerous to list. They gave us a cast and crew of students who worked diligently and performed superbly. As a result of their time spent together, the Chicago cast and crew of over 50 ninth through 12th graders became a team and a family, creating memories and friendships which will remain long after they graduate.

The annual event brought the entire Island together to celebrate and support the performing arts, further illustrating the power of music, dance, and theatre in our lives. Thanks to everyone.
