I was relieved to read that an expansion of the Edgartown historic district was approved but I understand that no member of the planning board voted for this expansion. I used to live in Edgartown and my family still visits the Island every year and the reason we choose to stay in the village is because we love to walk the quaint streets and appreciate the age and charm of the homes that make Edgartown unique. That is also why day-trippers and other weekly vacationers come to this special place. What was the planning board thinking?
