On the afternoon of April 29, our otherwise well-behaved golden retriever, Lily, decided to take an exploratory walk from the place we were staying on Rock Rose Path off of Meeting House Road in Chilmark. This story had a good ending in that she came back on her own while her owner had reached out to neighbors and passers-by for help finder her. My wife and I want to thank all of the nice people who were willing to take one of my business cards and promise to call if Lily decided to visit with them. We also want to thank the Chilmark police who radioed Lily’s description to the officer on patrol. I’m sure if Lily wound up at the home of any we talked to that she would have had a nice visit and returned to us. Thanks to all.
