My crocuses are so happy right now. They have been through rain, snow and lots of wind. They look like delicate little things but they are strong and now very happy to have a little warm weather. So are we as Tuesday was a warm one. Now I just heard we are going to have and arctic blast. Oh yay. Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Mackenzie Duart, March 20, Jack Chronister, March 22, and to Colleen Carroll who celebrates Friday, March 24.

I don’t know which is more fun to watch, the kids’ last day of school exit or the exit when the Dairy Queen opens. I was laughing as I watched almost every kid running down the road headed for their long awaited after school treat. It was a cold rainy day but the kids did not care.

The League of Women Voters is sponsoring a candidate forum prior to the town elections. The public is invited to attend and listen to candidates as they present their positions and answer questions from voters. There are several contested races this year, and it should be a lively discussion. Come to the Edgartown Library at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28.

If you are reading this Friday March 24, and you want to get out for a little, the Wharf is hosting the Relay for Life Trivia night at 7:30 p.m. with Dan Cassidy and his mother Pam. It is $10 per person and a silent auction. It is a lot of fun and gets your brain working and it is for a great cause.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
