Polly Hill Arboretum will celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, April 28 with an afternoon of tree-themed activities.

The free festivities start off from 1 to 2 p.m. with a tour of the arboretum grounds featuring endangered plants of the world. From 2 to 2:30 p.m. there will be a tree planting demonstration of the endangered Oglethorpe oak. From 2:30 to 3 p.m. there will be a tree seedling giveaway while supplies last. This year’s free seedlings are Oriental spruce, a large evergreen that can grow in poor soils.
