Taking the pulpit at Union Chapel on Sunday, July 9 will be guest preacher Reverend Mariama White-Hammond from Bethel AME Church in Boston. Rev. White-Hammond is the minister for ecological justice and the interim youth pastor.

Rev. White-Hammond is a graduate of Stanford University, where she majored in international relations, was involved in campus politics and in the arts. In addition to her work at Bethel AME Church, she is also a fellow with the Green Justice Coalition, a collaboration of people-of-color-led groups.

Union Chapel is located at the intersections of Narragansett, Kennebec and Circuit Avenues in Oak Bluffs. The service begins at 10 a.m. with a musical prelude at 9:40 a.m.
