A West Tisbury man was arrested Saturday on drug-related charges after police executed a search warrant at his Skiff’s Lane home.

West Tisbury police and members of the Martha’s Vineyard Drug Task Force arrested Roan Elgart, 42, on charges of possession to distribute a class A substance (heroin), subsequent offense, possession to distribute a class D substance, and domestic assault and battery, according to a press release.

According to police, the search warrant served at 67 Skiff’s Lane led to the seizure of 14.1 grams of heroin. Police said the heroin has an approximate street value of more than $2,800.

Mr. Elgart was arraigned Monday in Edgartown district court. He is being held at the Dukes County jail on $5,000 bail, according to police.
