Your small group has been a NIMBY objection from the beginning, nothing else. Pretending that it's anything else is not the truth. Despite the small group who aren't used to not getting their way, we voted and we knew exactly what we voted for, even with all the anonymous and misleading glossy info spread by the NIMBY folks whose only objection was not wanting to look at the roadway. And now, after you've lost the vote, there is still misleading and downright untrue info on social media going around by this small, moneyed group. There's a petition with false info, speculation and unscientific opinions on environmental impact, and there's whining that the vote wasn't fair because it went on too late into the night. There's also desperate whining that there's even a slight possibility of Indian artifacts in the area, (even though if there were, they'd be washed out to sea anyway). Enough. The town has spoken and you've had literally years to convince us otherwise. Please move on so the town can get its beach back and homeowners can access their homes.

Well, I don't think the people who signed the petition were a bunch of NIMBYs. The opposite of NIMBY is "SAMBY": "Save My Back Yard." We are dealing with a xmall bunch of rich SAMBYs here. Actually, I think the advent of Harvey in Texas should concentrate people's minds on the fact that if a hurricane is in the offing, you evacuate.
