Adios Jose. That was a wild three-day northeaster that stirred up the waves along the south shoreline. The waves are still crashing at night as we await another storm, Maria. A few tree limbs down along the roads and other than sand drifting along Lobsterville Road, there was nothing of significance in Aquinnah.
Two weeks ago I had the pleasure and delight to have a brief visit from my friend Sheila Callahan of Haverhill. Sheila was our medical record supervisor at Tufts-New England Medical Center Hospitals in the late ‘60s. We had not seen each other since 1975 so it was a rather emotional day for both of us. In those days, Sheila oversaw the work of nearly a dozen teenagers, guiding us and giving us all a solid foundation to succeed in furthering our careers in our chosen paths. We hope to see each other within the next year, either on the Vineyard or for an office reunion in Boston. Another heartwarming adventure.
