Is anyone in West Tisbury missing an older black female cat? Fannie was found at 41 West Farm Road. She is obviously someone’s pet based on her lovely disposition and the fact that she really wants to be with people and get some affection. If you think she may be your missing pet please contact the shelter.

The rescued kitten survivor from Seven Gates, Halo, has found her forever home with a family that could not wait to make her their own. We know she found exactly who she belongs with. Congratulations to all, wishing them many years of love and happiness.

At this time we have four wonderful felines in the cat room. All would be welcome additions to any family. First up are father and son Mr. Whiskers and Ragnar. Mr. Whiskers is only two, black with a white spot on his chest and golden eyes. Ragnar, his son, is only a year old, and his markings are black and gray tabby with white chest, paws, and face. These boys came from a loving home and are extremely friendly and affectionate. Either would be a fantastic pet.

The other cat room residents are a couple of lovely older ladies. Mittens is a gray and white tuxedo, age 14, who adores being with people. She loves being pet and will show her appreciation by purring and purring. She only wants to find someone to love her so she can love in return. Could that be you? Faith is in her dotage and only needs some place cozy with good eats to live out her remaining time. She’s a very pretty orange tortoiseshell with a long coat. Is there an angel out there for her to spend her remaining lives with?

And we’re still awaiting the arrival of Girl’s kittens that should be born in the next few weeks. Once the babies are weaned Girl will be spayed and hopes to find her new forever home. She is an all black bobtail with a shiny coat and beautiful green eyes. And she has a very pretty face. If interested please come in and meet her, you could provide some love during her pregnancy.

And our white and black shelter cat Chaps is still happily with us. He’s a gentle soul with striking markings who only needs some love, good eats, and a comfy place to nap now that he’s 12. We’re happy to let him live out the rest of his nine lives here but if someone wants to give him a forever home we would be happy to see that happen for him.
