Congratulations and all the best to Tobias J. Vanderhoop who will leave on Saturday for his new position with the Ketchikan Indian Community as they are proud to announce and welcome Tobias as the Tribal Administrator/CEO for Ketchikan Indian Community (KIC). He will be the executive responsible for the business operations of KIC, ensuring that all programs and services are provided for their Tribal Members in the most efficient and effective manner.

Tobias was honored by his Aquinnah community with a pot luck dinner at the Aquinnah town hall on Monday evening attended by multi-generational families. For those brave enough, we enjoyed karaoke. We are all very proud of Tobias and his many accomplishments over the years. He is the son of Lorraine Fawn Vanderhoop Fantasia and her husband Edward Fantasia, and grandson of Gloria Fisk of Edgartown. He will be leaving behind many members of his extended Aquinnah family but will be embraced by the Ketchikan community including Evelyn Churchill Vanderhoop, her mother Mrs. Dolores Churchill, and his cousins David Elliott Vanderhoop II and his family as well as Carrie Anne Vanderhoop Bellis and her daughter. The official announcement will appear in the Vineyard Gazette next week.

Happy 12th Anniversary wishes to Paul and Theresa Manning on Oct. 8.
