The Martha’s Vineyard Film Society is hosting another Met Opera Live showing on Saturday, Nov. 18, beginning at 12:55 p.m. The performance is The Exterminating Angel, a surreal fantasy about a dinner party from which the guests can’t escape.

Met Opera Live includes 10 high-definition live cinema simulcasts from the Met’s 2017-18 season. Richard Paradise, founder and executive director of the film center, said it took four years to get approved by the Met to be a part of the series, and included an investment of $8,500 for equipment.

The next show will be Tosca, held on Jan. 27 at the film center, located at 79 Beach Road in Vineyard Haven.
