Shelter residents were happy to have a warm and cozy spot with fresh water and good food for Christmas. But their wish is for a forever home for the new year.

We have two wonderful cats hoping that special someone(s) finds them soon. Noelle is a young, tuxedo, female with double front paws and golden eyes. This girl is very sweet and affectionate, and has a little, feminine purr. She came in as a stray from Tisbury so if you believe she could be your missing pet please contact the shelter immediately as we’re sure she would love to be home with her family instead of here with us.

Our other resident is Pete, who needs a special angel. He is an elder statesman of 15 years, but still loves to play. His coloring is orange, and if you’re looking for sweet and low key this could be your cat. Pete likes to spend his time snuggling and purring, what more could you want? And he adores other cats.

Hey big dog lovers Chief is still looking for a forever home. He’s a very large, four-year year old Saint Bernard/Australian Shepherd mix that needs someone experienced with strong, prey driven dogs, but he cannot go to a home with farm and/or other small animals. Is someone out there willing to give Chief a chance, he’s a very sweet, lovely dog? Please contact the Shelter if you would like to meet him, he is still residing with his current owner.

Lisa and Gordon, our board of directors and all the Shelter volunteers wish everyone and their pets the happiest of new years!
