Phil Weinstein has become a regular presence each fall, teaching classes on the great authors, from Melville to Tolstoy, Faulkner and Joyce. And now the retired Swarthmore professor is venturing out in the spring, as part of ACE MV.

Beginning Jan. 21 and running to March 14, Mr. Weinstein will be teaching a class on Toni Morrison, beginning with Sula and including Beloved and her most recent novel Home.

The classes take place on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, room 513. The cost is $175. Visit acemv.org.
