This year the Art of Flowers is bigger.

The popular art show at Featherstone Center for the Arts, now going on 22 years, will be held this year in the Francine Kelly Gallery in the new Art Barn. That’s 1,500 square feet of space. The show begins with an opening reception on Sunday, May 13 from 4 to 6 p.m., and continues through May 28.

At the same time, next door at the Farmhouse Gallery, the center will host a high school photography exhibit called Photographers Society Debut. It features the work of three regional high school sophomores: Tyla Packish, Daniel Rivard and Davin Tackabury.

At 3:30 p.m., in advance of the two openings, there will be a celebration to welcome the John Schule Chapel to the campus. The chapel was donated by Reverend Schule and moved this spring by Steve Ewing. It now sits on a grassy knoll near the outdoor stage, inviting all for a moment of serenity and creative inspiration. A writing workshop will take place in the chapel this summer.
