Each year the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce sponsors a contest for the Island’s sixth grade students to create illustrations for the Island Book, the Vineyard’s only complete phone book. This year’s theme was Gingerbread Cottages.

The winning sixth grade artists this year are Caroline Bettencourt from the Oak Bluffs school, Andressa Da Trindade from the Edgartown school, Alissa Habekost of the Edgartown school, Clare Mone of the West Tisbury school, Katie Ogden of the Tisbury school, and Nikeya Tankard of the Tisbury school.

Island Books are available at the Chamber of Commerce building in Vineyard Haven and at various other locations around the Island, including all banks.
