The ferry Island Home went out of service briefly Friday morning but was back in service by early afternoon.

The cause was a tripped breaker connected to the forward rudder, SSA general manager Bob Davis said later in a press release.

The problem was solved when the breaker was reset. Two trips were cancelled while the ferry was taken out for inspection and sea trials.

Service on the Island Home resumed with the 1:15 p.m. trip out of Woods Hole.
