Union Chapel presents Rev. Eboni Marshall Turman, Ph.D., assistant professor of theology and African American religion at Yale University Divinity School this Sunday, July 8.

An ordained National Baptist preacher, Reverend Dr. Truman’s research interests include 20th century American theological liberalisms, especially Black and womanist theological, social-ethical, and theo-aesthetic traditions. An author, minister, professor, and public theologian, Reverend Dr. Turman is a refreshing addition to our most pressing national discussions of faith, race and gender.

Union Chapel welcomes all people of all faiths every Sunday for its organ prelude at 9:40 a.m. and worship at 10 a.m. It is located on Narragansett avenue at the intersection with Kennebec and Circuit avenues. Please join the congregation this Sunday as Reverend Dr. Turman delivers her sermon, Mission Impossible.
