As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Vineyard chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Health has organized numerous events around the Island. On Thursday, May 30 this culminates in a talk by Craig A. Miller entitled Live, Learn, Grow — Life After Attempted Suicide.

Mr. Miller will speak to students at the regional high school and again that night at the Katharine Cornell Theatre at 7 p.m. His story includes a life spent recovering from child abuse, mental health issues, and a suicide attempt. During his talk he will highlight what helped, what hurt and what gave him hope on this journey.
