Whine? Henry Hough would role over in his grave. I remember when the Vineyard Gazette actually covered the news and campaigned for causes that were important to Vineyarders. It’s a long way from there to taking up valuable editorial space with a “Sorry, Kids” whine because the Gazette isn’t being given its own special place in the Fourth of July parade. Being treated like all the other businesses. Imagine?

The wonderful volunteers that make the parade happen and are trying to keep it a safe, nonprofit Vineyard event and not have our parade turn into an advertising spectacle should be getting gold stars and front page kudos not an editorial page whine.

So, I guess the editors can, as they suggest, take their ball and go home or they can grow up a bit and learn to play with others.
