Anyone looking for a mid-size dog? Not too big, not too small? If so, we have the dog for you. Rudy is a pit bull/beagle mix, only two years of age. He’s white with gray markings and is a really good boy. He’s neutered, housebroken, up to date on his shots, good with both kids and cats, well trained, and ready to go to a forever home.

We still have a roomful of wonderful cats looking for homes. They may not be kittens, but they are only two years-old through middle age. And you can find just about anything you might want: young or older, male or female, short hair or long.

We have two two-year olds and both are polydactyl. Mr. Softee, aka Lambert, is a male tabby that’s very friendly. He’s indoor/outdoor, neutered and up to date on all his shots. He possesses an extremely soft coat and beautiful green eyes. The female is a petite calico with golden eyes. She’s very sweet and loving, and wants to be with you. She may also be the head of the cat room right now.

We have a few six and seven-year old, cats looking for forever homes. Tootsie is a friendly, six-year old, indoor/outdoor tabby who is very sweet and affectionate, but she can be a little stand-offish at times. She has white paws and white underpinnings, as well as pretty green eyes. Carly is seven, also a tabby, and would do best as an only cat so her food intake can be limited. Besides being a bit chubby, she comes when called and adores affection.

The last tabby girl is six-year old Holly. She’s been here well over a year and really needs to find her permanent home.

The long-haired male is a black with luminous green eyes. His name is Doc and he’s seven. This boy is an indoor cat, up-to-date on all his shots and an absolute doll.

Not to be forgotten, we also have everyone’s favorite, a wonderful orange male. Mr. Adventure is a smaller boy, 13 years of age. He’s been de-clawed so needs to be an inside cat. He’s very sweet and affectionate and would be a wonderful addition to any home. And the lovely, blue-eyed, four-year old calico Lucy is still looking for her forever family.

If you’re looking for a pet other than a cat or a dog, we have a couple of options. Hamachi is a hamster and he comes with his own castle. Tyson is a black and white, male Guinea pig. He’s hand raised, very friendly and has a rosette on top of his head.

If anyone is in need of dog food, we have plenty and are happy to share. We still need adult volunteers to answer the phone and meet and greet people on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons.
