Connie McHugh, owner of Airport Fitness, recently attended a pickleball registry certification course on Hilton Head island. The full-day course was for racquet sport professionals who wanted to expand their repertoire to include pickleball. The day involved skill demonstrations on court, teaching techniques and lesson testing. Applicants must also take an online written test to complete certification.

She also attended the second annual East Coast pickleball conference, and played in the U.S. Pickleball Association tournament.
