Mud Moon

Monday’s full moon, the Mud Moon, appears in the zodiacal constellation Virgo, a clear sign of spring and warmer days ahead.

Virgo is one of the biggest zodiacal constellations and it takes several nights for the moon to traverse through it. The full moon will be at the western end of the constellation on Monday, not far from the zodiacal constellation Leo. On Tuesday night, the moon is gibbous and closer to the brightest star in the constellation, Spica.

It will be even closer to Spica on Wednesday night.

Daylight Saving Time arrives in the wee hour, 2 a.m. on Sunday. Turn clocks forward one hour on Saturday night for benefit of getting up in the new time. Adding an hour of daylight at the end of the day is the best part as we head into spring.
