Jean Cabonce has been named the Dukes County Census Outreach Coordinator for the 2020 census, according to an announcement from the Dukes County Complete Count Committee.

A 2018 Martha’s Vineyard Vision Fellow, Ms. Cabonce has worked as a freelance technology consultant on the Vineyard, and has been involved in community organizing efforts on the Island, including as a member of We Stand Together/Estamos Todos Juntos’ Racial Justice and Human Dignity Committee.

Ms. Cabonce’s work will focus on engaging Island residents, business, non-profits, houses of worship and other entities, and encouraging their full participation in the 2020 census. Her position is funded through the Massachusetts Census Division’s Complete Count Grant Program through early June.
