The guidelines under which construction and landscape workers may return to work April 27 have been posted on the town of Tisbury website, tisburyma.gov.

Under the phase one guidelines, developed by a working group of Island town officials and contractors, no more than two workers may be present at any job site and they must travel there separately. Work inside occupied buildings is prohibited except in cases of emergency.

Among other requirements listed in the three-page document, construction sites must have running water and at least one bathroom or portable restroom, or an approved equivalent, and workers must complete daily wellness questionnaires.

Violations may incur fines of up to $1,000, work stoppages and potentially the revocation of work authorizations, according to the guidelines, which have been adopted by all Island towns with the exception of Aquinnah.
