Ice House Pond in West Tisbury is closed to swimming for the 2020 season, according to a Facebook post by the Martha's Vineyard Land Bank, which owns the Manaquayak preserve from which swimmers traditionally have reached the popular glacial pond.

The closure is intended "(t)o ensure community health and safety," according to the announcement, which directs hikers to the Lambert's Cove trailhead for access to the still-open Manaquayak trails.
