The weather has been the best around Aquinnah this past week. Warmth and sunshine on a daily basis and the Rosa rugosa are in full bloom.
Library director, Rosa Parker, is back at the library for you to call in orders for curbside pickup of the latest books, DVDs and other materials. The inter-library loan service is still not available due to Covid-19. You may call Rosa at 508-645-2314 and she will be able to assist you.
Reminder: the annual Aquinnah town meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 1 p.m. in the parking lot at the Aquinnah Fire Department. Please wear a mask and social distancing is mandated. For an early peek at the warrant articles and the budget, go to the town website: Aquinnah-ma.gov. The annual election will be held on Wednesday, June 24 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Aquinnah town hall.
Congratulations to Taylor and Sarah Ives on the birth of their daughter, Adelaide Maggie Ives, on May 19 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Adelaide was welcomed home by her two-and-a-half-year-old brother, Louie Raymond Ives. My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Susan Shanok. Susan was ever so proud of the fact that she was the very first Galley Girl, having worked at the Menemsha Galley as a young teenager.
