Winter is just a short month away but the temperatures have dropped considerably this past week. We enjoyed 60 to 70 degree weather for a week or so and now the temperatures have fallen to near freezing or below with the wind chill factor.

The Northeast Indigenous Artists holiday market will host a virtual sale on Facebook. Join the group to view the beautiful creations for sale and purchase. The market will run from Nov. 27 to Dec. 11. Many gift ideas for the holiday season.

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services will be auctioning off the next set of low number license plates during December. They would make a great holiday gift. There are presently more than 3800 MV license plates on the road.

Sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Allan “Buddy” DeBettencourt who passed away on Nov. 10. It was always a pleasure to work with Buddy on Oak Bluffs Fire Department issues over the years, especially during the fireworks and the auctions.

May you have a Happy Thanksgiving with a totally different atmosphere while gathering this year, due to the Covid virus and the need to socially distance ourselves. The large gathering of family and friends will certainly be on hold for this year but we can look forward to greater gatherings in the future. We just need to get beyond this pandemic for now.
