The decision by the Olympics to ban Sha’Carri Richardson for a positive test for marijuana is a shameless injustice to a talented runner. I have run well over 60,000 miles on our Island in the past 43 years and worked to get signatures on the ballot for cannabis legalization.

There are not many guarantees in life but here’s one: Cannabis is not an athletic performance enhancing drug. This is a disastrous decision that ruined a promising career.
