South Shore Community Action Council has announced applications are open for its fuel assistance benefit program. Applications will be taken through April 30.

Eligibility is based on gross income and household size. Benefit levels for eligible households have been increased for this year and now range from $810 to $1,650 for non-subsidized residents and $567 to $1,155 for some subsidized residents.

Prospective applicants have a variety of submission options to choose from, including online at ssac.org; by mailing documents to Fuel Assistance, 71 Obery St., Plymouth, MA 02360; or via fax to 508-746-5140. First-time applicants can also apply over the phone by calling 508-746-6707 or toll free 1-877-383-5243. For a full list of intake sites, visit ssac.org.
