Spring unofficially arrived on Martha’s Vineyard Monday with a soft blanket of fog in some places and reports of pinkletinks pouring into the Gazette.
Three readers reported hearing the spring peepers within a span of an hour and a half early Monday evening. Two of the reports came from West Tisbury. One was unknown.
The day began with warm temperatures in the low 50s and fog, especially around harbors and waterfront areas.
