The Steamship Authority has announced 13 students from the Cape, Islands, Fairhaven and New Bedford as winners of its seventh annual Sail into Imagination art contest. The competition encourages students to celebrate their shared heritage of the sea.

Vineyard students who have been announced as winners are Eliana Friedlander and Gail Friedlander from the Tisbury School; Crystal Zheng from the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School; Charlotte Bologna of the Chilmark School; Danielle Meyer from the Edgartown School; and Anderson (AJ) Cramer of the Oak Bluffs Elementary School. Theirs were among 200 submissions received this year.

Winning entries will be featured in a 2023 Steamship Authority calendar and will be displayed on the Steamship Authority’s website and onboard its ferries.
