Would anyone on Chappy be interested in CPR and first aid training? The CERT team on Chappy is working with Edgartown fire chief Alex Schaeffer to conduct training classes to be held at the Chappy Community Center.

Classes will be held on Dec. 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. (deadline to sign up: Dec. 1); Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (deadline to sign up: Dec. 27); and Monday, Jan. 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. (deadline to sign up: Jan. 9). You need attend only one of those days. A minimum of 10 people are required to run a class. Please RSVP to Laura Pla at elpla@mac.com to sign-up. 

The Chappy Community Center 2023 calendar is in print and should be ready for sale on the center’s website shortly. Just in time for the holidays. The front cover photo spot was won by Edwina Rissland while the back cover will display a photo by Tim Leland. This edition of the calendar will be a wonderful display of the essence of Chappy by very talented photographers.

The Chappy Ferry steering committee will meet on Monday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. One of the items on the agenda will be to review a request by the Chappy Ferry to the Edgartown select board for approval of a fare increase. Find the link for the Zoom meeting on the town’s website on Monday morning.
